Shannon is the owner of Hair of the Dog Grooming.
She has over 25 years of professional Grooming experience. Shannon specializes in "hard to manage dogs." of all breeds. She loves all animals and will love anything and everything with fur, feathers, or scales. She has been in the industry for long time with experience in corporate management, private, veterinary grooming, and running and grooming her second shop in Louisa, Va. She is the mom of 4boys 3 that graduated from Louisa County High School and a forth that taught high school there before leaving to teach in Spotsylvania county. She has e everything from a Great Dane to a Chihuahua , pet parrots, an 50 lb tortoise, and đˇ pigs. She is also a grandma of a first grader here in Louisa.She started this little shop as some might remember many years ago in the tiny one room shop beside the water tower in Louisa. She trains her staff to love each pet like they are their own and continues to go to multiple seminars and shows as her belief in learning never stops.

Bather
Joe is a rising star in our shop.He is one of our front desk staff as well as one of our bathers. Joe loves working with small dogs, especially Chihuahuas. He is also Shannonâs son and a graduate of Louisa County High School.

Kailey has been a bather receptionist here at Hair of the dog grooming and ihas completed her work to becomes a full time groomer. We are proud of watching her growth and look forward to seeing how far she can go in the industry. She loves all breeds especially the herding breeds and Frenchies owns a cattle dog named Odie and our two resident Gargoyles Moose and Eli ( frenchies)
